Discussion of the Week: What Popular Dances Were You Into As A Kid?

Que the Music....You Know The One.....You know that by just looking at this picture, you're secretly humming the tune to Tom Jones' "It's Not Unusual......ADMIT IT! You know, I was originally going to post a whole other pic altogether, but this one was too good to pass up....I'm pretty sure that I never did this dance for real (at least, I hope not anyway!), but I unfortunately know some people that have. The point is, no matter the generation, no matter the time period....kids have always had the authority on what are the latest trends, fashion, and of course, dances. Now I'm a kid of the 80's and 90's...and so we had several to choose from, including "The Running Man"....and it's subsequent little brother, "The Roger Rabbit." I could do them both with the utmost skill back in 1989........In 2013, however, it's a whole different story....I've tried, in an attempt to show my 9-year old son what dances were "Cool" when I was growing up.....and it was bad.....just REALLY bad.

Yeah, I thought not....But we were totally convinced that there truly was a difference back in the late 80's. The first video should have been titled "How To Do The Running Man, With a Complete Lack of Rhythm."
