Discussion of the Week: Do You Listen to Classical Music?

What's goin' on, Music Heads! Without further ado, Here is this week's Question of the Week: Do You Listen To Classical Music? If So, What Composers? If Not, Why Not? Now I know many feel as though classical music is boring and outdated, but it all depends on the way you approach it.

Here at Harmonious Flame, we're all about broadening our horizons, and opening the ears of our readers up to something new. Yeah sure, the hairstyles and fashions that they wore back in those days were soooo "Revolutionary War-Chic," but just think that classical music was mainstream for its day. It was "the sound" that everyone listened to at the time.....

It doesn't matter if it was performed in 1794, or 1994, Classical Music is perhaps the only style of music that never seems to go "out-of-style." It is still studied, performed and appreciated in various venues and cultures throughout the world. What other genre do you know of that's still popular after a few hundred years.

Personally, I love Classical Music....but I didn't always. I garnered an appreciation for it from junior high on. I guess you don't really have much of a choice when you're learning to play something as intricate as a violin...

So What Are Your Thoughts On Classical Music?
