Discussion of the Week: If You Could Immerse Yourself Into Any Artist(s) Catalogue of Music, Who Would It Be?

Discussion of the Week: If You Could Immerse Yourself Into Any Artist(s) Catalogue of Music, Who Would It Be?

This has been a new hobby of mine. Spending every Saturday morning writing posts like this, and just completely immersing myself into a different artist's body of work. It could be a new artist whose work I'm just being introduced to; or an older artist that I am already familiar with...at least in terms of their singles. It helps to be able to broaden both my own musical horizons, and my perception of certain artists by listening to not only their hits, but also their B-Sides.

Now as a child of the 80's and early 90's, I can tell you Sting and The Police were HUGE. I remembered Sting mostly as a solo act because by the time that Synchronicity (His last album with The Police) came out, I was still a baby. I always liked his (and their) music anyhow...after all, I's an MTV baby....But only recently have I really been able to delve into their work....listening to every track on every album while completing various tasks throughout my morning. The songs that I'm not crazy about, I get rid of, and the ones that I like, I keep in my iTunes collection. It's been an amazing experience, as I have added so many songs to my collection that I didn't know only 2 months ago.....

I encourage everyone to give it a try....You know me, I'm all for musical experimentation. If you're a music fiend like myself, you'll find this exercise highly enjoyable.....Or maybe I'm just a music geek.....I dunno....

So I ask you "If You Could Immerse Yourself Into Any Artist(s) Catalogue of Music, Who Would It Be?" Sound off in the comments.

Until Next Time.....
