Doesn't the haircut just say it all.....Who reading this is old enough to remember when Bobby Brown ruled the world..... Hell, who reading this is old enough to remember the jacked-up hair cut known as "The Gumby." I know, the concept (and the haircut) is laughable, at best....but their was a time when this cat was known for being more than just Whitney's husband. He was actually a bonafide star in his own right. I wouldn't hardly say the "King of R&B," as his wife so affectionately claimed, but at least the "King of New Jack Swing." If those of you reading this are too young to remember what "New Jack Swing" is, then my sincerest of apologies. In either case, the below video was HUGE......let me say that again......HUGE in the summer of 1989. It was the lead single for the soundtrack to the long-awaited "Ghostbusters 2," & even had the fellas themselves make an appearance in the video....Then again, who didn't make an appearance in this video.....It had everyone from Donald Trump to Doug E. Fresh.....Good luck trying to name all of them....Plus its a treat for modern New Yorkers like myself to see what the city looked like 25 years ago. Enjoy this trip back in time to April '89.....
